I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

Stitch shoulder straps

Open bias tape out flat. With right sides together stitch straight across (don't forget to backstitch securely) where you pinned. Trim the bias tape to 1cm(3/8"), press seam open and snip corners as shown.
