I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

2. Stitch shoulder seam

With RST (right sides together), match sleeve notch to Front notch. Serge seam on overlocker, or if stitching on an ordinary machine, use a short, narrow zig-zag. Repeat for other sleeve.

Optional step to help prevent stretching of seam: Press seam away from sleeve, toward Front. Top-stitch next to seamline through Front and seam allowances.
